From Experience to Advocacy

The story of Eternal Paw Crematory is deeply personal. It began with Cheeky, a golden retriever gifted by Eternal Group Chairman D. Edgard A. Cabangon to his daughters, Dannica and Giannina. “We were just in grade school then,” shares Dannica, now the President of Eternal Paw Crematory. “We had little knowledge about pet care, but we learned along the way.”

Cheeky became more than a pet—she was family. For 12 joyful years, she brought love, laughter, and loyalty into their home. Her passing was a moment of profound grief but also of clarity. “We didn’t know much about pet death care back then,” Dannica recalls, “but our mom and dad guided us through the after-care process.”

This experience left a lasting mark on her. It was in that moment of loss that a mission took shape—one rooted in the belief that loving a pet means honoring their life in its entirety, including a dignified farewell.

“It’s not just about having a pet,” she reflects. “It’s about being responsible for their entire journey with us—from the day they enter our lives to the moment we let them go.”
